How to Add AirTag to Another Phone
Adding an AirTag to another phone is a straightforward process that allows you to track and manage your belongings with ease. Whether you’ve just received a new AirTag or want to add it to a different device, follow these simple steps to get started.
Step 1: Ensure Compatibility
Before you begin, make sure that the phone you want to add the AirTag to is compatible. AirTags are compatible with iPhone 11 or later, iPad Pro (12.9-inch, 3rd generation), iPad Pro (11-inch, 2nd generation), iPad Pro (11-inch, 1st generation), iPad (5th generation or later), iPad mini (5th generation or later), and iPad Air (3rd generation or later). Additionally, the device must be running iOS 14.5 or later, iPadOS 14.5 or later, or macOS Monterey or later.
Step 2: Find the AirTag
First, locate the AirTag you want to add to the other phone. If the AirTag is attached to an item, make sure it’s within range of the phone you’re using to add it.
Step 3: Open the Find My App
On the phone you want to add the AirTag to, open the “Find My” app. This app is pre-installed on all compatible devices and allows you to track and manage your AirTags.
Step 4: Tap “Add AirTag”
In the “Find My” app, tap on the “Add AirTag” button. This will prompt you to scan the AirTag’s QR code. You can do this by holding the AirTag up to the camera of your phone, or by using the camera to scan the QR code displayed on the AirTag’s surface.
