How to Embed a YouTube Video to Google Slides

Embedding a YouTube video into Google Slides can be a powerful way to enhance your presentations. Whether you’re creating a business presentation, a school project, or a personal slideshow, incorporating video content can make your slides more engaging and informative. In this article, we’ll guide you through the simple steps to embed a YouTube video into Google Slides.

Step 1: Open Google Slides

The first step is to open Google Slides. If you don’t have a Google account, you’ll need to create one to access the service. Once you’re logged in, you can start a new presentation or open an existing one.

Step 2: Navigate to the Slide where you want to Embed the Video

Locate the slide where you want to embed the YouTube video. Click on the slide to select it.

Step 3: Insert the Video

With the slide selected, click on the “Insert” tab at the top of the screen. From the dropdown menu, choose “Video.” This will open a new window where you can search for and insert a video.

Step 4: Search for the YouTube Video

In the video insertion window, you have two options: “By URL” and “By Search.” To embed a YouTube video, you’ll want to use the “By URL” option. Copy the URL of the YouTube video you want to embed and paste it into the provided field.

Step 5: Insert the Video

After pasting the URL, click “Insert.” Google Slides will process the video and embed it into your slide.

Step 6: Adjust the Video Settings

Once the video is embedded, you can adjust its settings to fit your presentation. You can resize the video by clicking and dragging the corners of the video frame. You can also position the video by clicking and dragging it to the desired location on the slide.

Step 7: Save Your Presentation

After embedding the video and adjusting the settings, don’t forget to save your presentation. Click on “File” in the top menu, then select “Save” or “Save As” to save your changes.

And that’s it! You’ve successfully embedded a YouTube video into Google Slides. This feature can help you create more dynamic and engaging presentations, making your content more memorable and impactful.
