The Geographical Enigma- Decoding the Location of the Mali Empire
Where is Mali Empire Located?
The Mali Empire, one of the most prominent empires in African history, was located in the West African region. This vast empire, which reached its peak during the 14th and 15th centuries, encompassed a significant portion of modern-day Mali, as well as parts of Senegal, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, and Niger. The empire’s geographical location played a crucial role in its development, as it was strategically positioned along the trans-Saharan trade routes, which facilitated the exchange of goods, ideas, and cultures between North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa.
